By AAHOA Staff

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US IN NEW ORLEANS. Last month, we “laissez les bon temps rouler,” or let the good times roll, in New Orleans for AAHOACON25. Thousands of hotel owners came together to hear world-class keynote speakers, take part in education sessions, discover innovative products, make deals on the Trade Show Floor, and network with old and new friends. The annual convention also held the election for the 2025-2026 Board of Directors. Congratulations to the new AAHOA Secretary, Vimal (Ricky) Patel, and all our newly elected leaders!

AAHOA WELCOMES A NEW CHAIRMAN. During AAHOACON25, Kamalesh (KP) Patel took the helm as AAHOA’s 35th Chairman. KP grew up in Santa Cruz, CA, as a second-generation hotelier who spent his childhood working the front desk and handling maintenance calls. Today, he manages properties with his wife, Krishna. Please join us in congratulating KP and read more about his vision and priorities for the year ahead here.

AAHOA CELEBRATES AANHPI MONTH AND NATIONAL TRAVEL AND TOURISM WEEK. May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by presidential proclamation. AAHOA is proud to celebrate the contributions of our members and the journey they’ve taken to achieve success. Additionally, May 4-10 is National Travel and Tourism Week, which celebrates the U.S. travel community and travel’s essential role in stimulating economic growth, cultivating communities, creating job opportunities, inspiring new businesses, and elevating the quality of life for Americans every day.

AAHOA CONGRATULATES 2025 AWARD WINNERS. Congratulations to the seven outstanding leaders who were recognized at AAHOACON25 for their drive to find new solutions for hotel businesses and taking the industry to extraordinary heights. Join us in celebrating them and read more about the award winners here.

SEE YOU ON THE ROAD FOR THE 2025 HOTEL OWNERS CONFERENCES & TRADE SHOWS. The 2025 AAHOA Hotel Owners Conferences & Trade Shows season kicks off on May 28 in Austin, TX, for the South Central Texas HOC. Rebranded in 2024, these events give attendees access to premiere vendors, networking opportunities, and region-specific industry updates. The 2025 season runs through November, so find your closest event here.
