Let’s be honest: The way we define leadership is changing, and for the better.
The hospitality industry doesn’t just need more leaders. It needs leaders who are collaborative, emotionally intelligent, and adaptable. In other words, it needs more women in charge.
For years, women have driven this industry forward. They are the first to show up and the last to leave. They run the operations, solve the problems, and take care of guests and teams with resilience and strength. But that leadership has not always translated into titles or ownership.
That is why HerOwnership matters.
This initiative is about more than empowerment – it’s about results. When we give women the tools to grow as owners and executives, we raise the bar across the board. Better representation leads to stronger businesses, smarter decisions, and a more sustainable future for our entire industry.
The reality is that women are already leading. What we need to do now is recognize this, invest in it, and build on it. That’s what we will be doing this Sept. 11-12 at the HerOwnership Conference in Hilton Head Island. It’s a space where knowledge is shared, relationships are built, and future leaders are born.
We aren’t just preparing women to succeed – we’re preparing the industry to evolve. Leadership looks different now. And that’s a good thing.
