By Kamalesh (KP) Patel, AAHOA Chairman (2025-2026)

AAHOA is only as strong as the members who engage in it. That’s not a slogan. It’s a fact.
Our events are where that engagement becomes real. They are where owners move beyond membership and into participation. If we want a strong association, informed owners, and a future we can stand behind, then showing up matters.
Events Are a Responsibility
AAHOA events are not social gatherings or box-checking exercises. They are working sessions. Education is delivered. Policies are shaped. Leadership is held accountable. Owners learn from other owners who face the same challenges and make the same difficult decisions every day.
AAHOACON represents this responsibility at the highest level. It’s where members help guide the association’s direction and ensure it remains focused on what truly matters to hotel owners.
Feedback Drives Improvement
We don’t assume we get everything right. We listen. Member feedback plays a direct role in how we plan and improve our events. When owners speak up, we take that seriously – whether it’s about the quality of education, format, access, or overall value.
Getting better requires honesty and effort. Innovation doesn’t mean changing for the sake of change. It means making innovative improvements that respect members’ time, investment, and expectations. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.
AAHOACON26: A Moment to Engage
This April, we’ll gather in Philadelphia for AAHOACON26. It’s an essential opportunity for owners to engage, learn, and help shape the future of AAHOA. The education will be strong, the conversations direct, and the work meaningful.
AAHOA doesn’t move forward because of titles or speeches. It moves forward because members participate, challenge us to improve, and take ownership of the association.
Events are where that happens. And when members show up with purpose, AAHOA gets stronger. Register today, and I’ll see you in Philadelphia.
