hihotels Achieves a Consistently High 97% Retention Rate; Debuts “The Legacy Circle” to Honor Long-Term Franchisee Loyalty

March 31, 2026 by Cathleen Draper Leave a Comment

Atlanta, GA – March 31, 2026 – At a time when hotel owners are increasingly seeking flexibility and relief from rising brand overhead, hihotels by Hospitality International is proving that an owner-first philosophy drives unmatched loyalty. Today, the company announced a 97% overall franchisee retention rate and the launch of “The Legacy Circle” (TLC), a prestige program honoring partners who have stayed with the brand for up to 40 years.

While the standard initial contract term in the hihotels system is just five years, the vast majority of owners choose to stay long-term, defying the industry trend of frequent brand-switching in favor of a personalized and economical franchising experience.

The strength of hihotels’ flexible model is reflected in the longevity of its portfolio. The current franchisee snapshot reveals a deep-rooted commitment:

Tenure Milestone                     Percentage of Franchisees

Overall Retention Rate                         97%

5+ Years                                               89%

20+ Years                                             42%

30+ Years                                             18%

“In the hospitality industry, a 97% retention rate isn’t just a statistic; it’s a vote of confidence,” said Chris Guimbellot, President & CEO of hihotels. “The Legacy Circle represents a partnership built on trust and performance. Our owners stay because we constantly address their needs and focus on their bottom line.”

The Legacy Circle (TLC) will be officially introduced at AAHOACON26, where hihotels will present milestone plaques to attending franchisees. The program includes:

  • Property-Level Distinction: Custom milestone plaques for lobby display.
  • Enhanced Visibility: Featured placement in consumer marketing and industry-wide newsletters.
  • Advisory Influence: Recognition at hihotels Regional Conferences to share insights.

Amit Patel, a second-generation co-owner of the Red Carpet Inn & Suites in Rochester, MN, and member of the hihotels Advisory Council, shared, “We are approaching 40 years with hihotels, marking a significant milestone defined by consistent support and a partnership that has helped our business grow. This dependability has been vital to our success.”

The full system-wide rollout of The Legacy Circle begins in May 2026.
