AAHOA’s Momentum is Stronger Than Ever

Reflecting on AAHOACON25 and Our Unstoppable Future

When I walked onto the main stage at AAHOACON25 in New Orleans, I was struck by how far we’ve come. The energy on the trade show floor, the inspiring keynotes, and the packed educational sessions all reminded me that AAHOACON is more than a convention – it’s a celebration of unity, resilience, and entrepreneurship. Every connection reaffirmed that AAHOA isn’t just an association – it’s a movement powered by 20,000 passionate hotel owners.

As we wrapped up our 25th annual convention, I reflected on AAHOA’s roots. In 1989, a small group of Indian American hoteliers gathered in Atlanta with one goal: To be heard and to lift each other up. That bold vision has grown into one of hospitality’s most powerful voices. And today, our strength still comes from our people.

Year Three: Purpose, Passion & Progress

As I near my third year as AAHOA’s President & CEO, I’m proud to say our association has never been stronger. We’ve built strategic partnerships, launched member-focused platforms like AAHOA Marketplace and AAHOALending.com, and introduced impactful programs like HerOwnership and HYPE. We’ve invested in next-level education with the Kalibri Labs and AAHOA Certified Hotel Profit Strategist program and delivered high-quality events that connect owners across all stages of their journey. Leadership means empowering others – and I’m inspired by our newly elected Officers and Board Members who bring fresh energy, new ideas, and a deep commitment to our mission.

What’s Next: Advocacy & Growth

This year, we’re doubling down on advocacy in Washington, D.C. We’re championing the LIONs Act to raise SBA loan caps, advocating for smart tax policy, tackling workforce challenges, and continuing our fight to end human trafficking. We’re also building on the momentum of our record-breaking PAC to support leaders who understand and fight for our members.

The Best Is Yet to Come

Whether you’ve been with AAHOA for 35 years or 35 days, know this: The future is bright. With shared purpose and passion, we’re breaking barriers and elevating the voice of every hotelier in America.

Thank you for your trust. I’m honored to serve – and excited for what we’ll achieve together.
