Where Hospitality Meets Opportunity

June 10, 2025 by Cathleen Draper Leave a Comment

Inside AAHOA’s 2025 Hotel Owners Conferences & Trade Shows

By AAHOA Staff

In hospitality, standing still isn’t an option. The industry is constantly evolving, and so are the people driving it forward. Across the country, hotel owners are navigating change, refining operations, and building legacies that last. That’s the spirit behind AAHOA’s 2025 Hotel Owners Conferences & Trade Shows (HOCs): To gather, grow, and lead together. Each HOC is a powerful convergence of innovation, insight, and industry relationships. These events bring together hundreds of hoteliers, vendors, and thought leaders in a setting built for progress.

A Marketplace That Moves the Needle

Step onto the trade show floor, and the energy is electric. Hotel owners aren’t just browsing – they’re building. From tech solutions and financial tools to energy-saving upgrades and operational essentials, this is where deals are made and new ideas take hold.

For many, the conversations here translate directly into results.

“Thanks to AAHOA’s HOC event, we had the opportunity to meet the ASI team and explore their PMS solution – and it turned out to be a great decision for our group,” said Ray (Ramesh) Ahir, an AAHOA Lifetime Member from Inglewood, CA. “Managing multiple properties means we need a system that’s reliable, scalable, and easy for our team to work with across locations. ASI PMS checked all the boxes. We initially implemented it at a new site, but the results spoke for themselves so much that we’ve since rolled it out across our other properties as well. The transition was seamless, and day-to-day operations are now far more connected and efficient.”

“The personalized attention we received at the HOC, along with the special promotional offer, made the entire onboarding experience even better. ASI has truly become a trusted technology partner in our hospitality journey.”

That experience was echoed by Amit Panchal, a hotelier from Seaside, CA.

“We’ve been using ASI PMS for a while now, but meeting the ASI team at the HOC event completely changed the game for us. I was introduced to the new 7X version, and I have to say – it’s impressive. The interface is smooth, user-friendly, and packed with powerful features that simplify daily operations. ASI offered us a free upgrade at the event, and that gesture alone showed their commitment to customer success. The transition was seamless, and we’re already seeing improvements in efficiency. Kudos to the team for building a product that truly works for hoteliers like us.”

It’s these kinds of authentic connections – with vendors who understand the industry and offer tailored support – that make the trade show floor a standout feature of every HOC.

The Heartbeat of HOC: General Session

Every HOC concludes with a dynamic General Session where AAHOA’s leadership takes the stage alongside elected officials, industry partners, and trusted voices in hospitality. These sessions offer members a chance to hear firsthand about advocacy work happening at the state and national levels, key policy updates, and what’s on the horizon for the association.

General Sessions give members the big-picture perspective they need to feel informed, empowered, and connected to a greater purpose.

Built on Relationships, Powered by Community

Beyond the business deals and bold ideas, AAHOA HOCs are ultimately about people. It’s where hotel owners connect, share their stories, and build lasting relationships with vendors, peers, and AAHOA itself.

For Harsha Patel, her first HOC experience in Houston (Southeast Texas Region) was a standout moment.

“It’s great for hoteliers,” she shared. “You meet vendors who can truly help when something goes wrong. It’s an easy way to build those relationships before you need them. The vendors at HOC stand out because of their connection with AAHOA. They’re crystal clear, honest, and reliable – because of that partnership, you can trust them.”

Neegum Patel added how valuable the broader industry lens is.

“They provide a great space to facilitate conversation with different vendors and network with other hoteliers, as well as give me insight into the industry as a larger picture versus what I see in the snapshot of just my area and our properties.”

Even newcomers to the industry find value. Hitik Patel, a finance major at Georgia State University, attended his local HOC to explore the field.

“I think AAHOA events are unique because of the connections you make with different people,” he shared. “And also, just looking at everyone’s booths and seeing what kind of company they have, what they offer all across the country.”

Whether you’re just starting out or years into your ownership journey, HOCs are built for connection – both immediate and long-term.

Real Stories. Real Results.

Few moments capture the power of HOC better than what Jiten (JP) Patel, an AAHOA Annual Member, experienced.

“It’s all business – not about partying,” he said of the event. “We’re doing real business with people we met at the conference.” When a flood hit one of his properties, it was Kevin Sloan of GMH, whom he met through AAHOA, who stepped in to help. “What started as a $250,000 insurance claim ultimately became a $1.2 million payout.”

That’s the kind of impact that sticks – not just numbers on a spreadsheet, but relationships that change the game.

Why It Matters

In an industry shaped by innovation, relationships, and resilience, AAHOA’s HOCs offer something truly rare: a trusted space to connect, collaborate, and accelerate your growth. Whether you’re seeking a new technology partner, expanding your vendor network, or simply looking to be in the right room at the right time, there’s no better place to be.

As the hospitality world evolves, one thing remains constant: Opportunity favors those who show up.

Join us in 2025 and experience the momentum, the relationships, and the results that only HOC can deliver.
